How to shop smarter!

Online shopping?

Whatever you are buying online; clothing, furniture or beauty products, be sure to shop around before adding the item to your cart and buying.

Dig deeper for discount codes or other stores selling it on sale or wait for sale periods like ‘Black Friday’ sales. Additionally, sometimes you will find stores providing a sign up offer i.e. “sign up and get 15% off your first order”. Make sure to look around for cheaper options to save on the shipping costs too!

Groceries

We all know doing the groceries can be an expensive core, so here are a few hacks to help you save:

-       Look at trying cheaper brands, you may find you might enjoy them just as much or more! Always keep an eye out for items on special too!

-       Come prepared! Make sure you know exactly what you require. Plan your meals for the week and write a checklist of the items you need to buy. This way you won’t waste time searching the aisles and be tempted to buy other items.

-       If you are the type of person that can be tempted to over purchase, try click and collect or food delivery to your home.

-       Make sure to scan or sign up for a reward card (like Flybuys used at Coles).

You can earn points for the money spent which can then be used towards vouchers and savings on a future shop! Additionally you can gain information on specials/deals on items at partner stores to the supermarket.

Reject shops for the win!

Save money on supplies and essentials by shopping at a reject shop.

If you are needing to get staples for your house like cleaning products, stationary, or simple homewares like candles head to a reject shops to find a cheaper items and brands!

You’ll also be able to find basic food items like condiments, tea and coffee, and canned goods.
